Kindle Unlimited, if you are a reader or writer is a scheme that has been designed to give another way to enjoy books as a reader, and as an author, another possible stream of income.
If you’d like to sign up as a reader, it allows you access to the library on Amazon that has opted into Kindle Unlimited for £8(UK) or $9.99 (US) a month or so.

As writers, we earn a standardised amount per page read of our book, meaning that we can earn while people borrow our books. It’s often not the same amount as our royalties (depending on the length of the book and how many people borrow your book will depend on how much you make) but is another stream of income if you choose to use it. This is called the KENP rate.

Other reading programs exist in various ways and with various terms.
